Luftwaffe “Flak” M40 Helmet
Category:
£825.00
One that tells a story. Originally used as a standard dark blue issue helmet, at some time during the conflict it has been overpainted in black. These are generally considered to be used by Flak units. The original decal can just been seen in relief on the left side. It is difficult to photograph, but it is definitely there! The shell is an ET 62 for Eisenhuttenwerk, Thale and the liner size 55. It has no chinstrap, which keeps the price down and the liner is supple although a finger is missing, but this is an affordable Helmet, not silly prices. All pins are tight and not messed with, plus they are the same all over, so I’m guessing this is an untouched helmet. It came from a long time collection (50 years)
