On the 2nd Kriegs winter relief organization of the German people1940/41

For the eighth time I call on the German people to make voluntary sacrifices for the winter relief organization. This large social institution is an expression of the community of the German people that has become a reality. Every comrade at home is aware of how small his contribution is compared to the sacrifices that our soldiers have made at the front and still have to make until the freedom and future of our people are finally secured. During the last year of the war, the homeland proved through its courage and sense of sacrifice that it is worthy of this great honour for its sons. I am convinced that it will also do its duty in the coming war winter relief organization of 1940/41 in order to further strengthen our people’s awareness of the indissoluble social community.
