This is a truly exceptional Army Buckle by the prestigious maker of RODO - Robert C. Dold, Offenburg- The colour of the buckle leads me to believe that it was either a DAK buckle – or Italian theatre. The olive drab colour was used extensively during this period, not all buckles – in fact very few – had a webbed tongue.

Condition is about as good as it gets together with a nicely marked belt where the tongue has sadly been taken off and holes punched in, and shortened – But a really striking piece!
