Original ink signature of Generaloberst Ulrich Grauert ( Knight’s Cross awarded on 29 May 1940 as Kommandierender General des I. Fliegerkorps . General Ulrich Grauert (6 March 1889 – 15 May 1941) was killed on 15 May 1941 when his Junkers 52 was shot down by F/Lt Jankiewicz and Sgt Giermer, both in Spitfires, from the No. 303 Polish Fighter Squadron near Saint-Omer on the French channel coast.
