HJ camp knife, with-out blade motto, 13 cm long, drop forged, steel construction, single edged, non-fullered, nickel/silver plated, blade. The Blade is maker marked M7/42 for W.K.C. - Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Co. Waffenfabrik, Solingen, and is in super condition with only very slight scratch marks visible. The leather washer is intact. The hilt features a single, up-swept, cross guard arm and a stylized eagle head pommel. It has moulded, black, diamond grooved, Bakelite grips and the retaining rivets are fully intact. The obverse grip has an enamelled HJ diamond. The HJ diamond features red enamel top and bottom quarters The diamond has the correct translucent red enamel with a pebbled field visible underneath. The scabbard shows signs of paint loss, and one of the brown retainers has broken. It's quite common to find the blade of the HJ knife sharpened. In many cases, this was done by the Hitler Youth member himself because the factory issue knife was quite dull
