This is a 19mm version of an early sympathisers badge. These were produced in the early days of the NSDAP party when it was banned in 1923 to be worn “secretly” to show support. The Composition of the badge is Translucent enamel on a messing planchet. There is a mark to the enamel, and the fixing pin is strange. At first I did think that it had been “re soldered” during its lifetime, but on further examination, although looking crudely done, it would appear to me to be original, after all, these were made in the cottage industry and did not conform to any rules at that time. This might possibly date from 1920 onwards
