This is a late war M40 shell - Stamped Q64 for Quist and DN 474 all on the rear skirt it has had over its life, a repaint and then a light covering of green. All of the pins are tight to the shell, One pin “cap” is missing and they have definitely never been touched as can be seen in the photos the oxidization that has occurred cannot be replicated.
The leather liner has all tongues present and a nice original drawstring An original chin strap completes the ensemble. Without doubt one of the nicest “real” affordable camo helmets out there today
It is rare in today’s market to find an “unquestionably period” Camouflage helmet.
