This is a very difficult and scarce buckle to find:  A Kriegsmarine – “golden anodized” finish- aluminium buckle, in excellent condition with only a few minor scuffs, and a lightly rubbed eagle complete with the leather tab by the company of R.Sieper and Söhne ( The only manufacturer of these types of buckles)

The buckle not only bears the company logo on the reverse of the buckle, but also on the leather tab, with a nice early date of 1938. It also has the desirable “Eagle over M” stamp, often so difficult to find. Plus it appears the owner pencilled in his name which is still present, a nice personal touch.

The buckle is not a cheap one, but its rarity and condition make this a very sought after addition to any serious collection.
