A very interesting Wehrpass that would benefit from further research. I have done as much as I can, and it is truly fascinating.
The WP comes with approximately 20 small photos of him, a few when he was an HJ member, and the rest when he was serving. He was trained as a Nebelwerfer operator, and he originally served in Poland in 1939 and then serving with a few NB Regts and then tranfered to Italy – Sicily and Salerno from 1942 onwards. He was attached to 6. Batterie der Werfer Regiment 71 from 20.11.1942 to 23.5.1944. I have an extract PDF file of a book that was written specifically about that Regiment and all of its actions in Afrika & Italy. It appears the Regt was involved in all of the main actions in Italy from Casino- Anzio -Gustav line, and 6th Battery was involved in the actions against the American troops in Salerno 1944. My German is not that great, but I will supply a copy of the file.
Thanks go to Ern Hlmn who wrote the book, and gave me access to parts of it which was written by veterans, so it is pretty accurate. It is extremely rare to find anything to do with and Nebelwerfer Rgt, and with further research it could turn up something amazing.
