The canteen, the leather strap for the canteen lid are marked with the makers code ‘C&C.W.43′, which indicates the maker is ‘Colsmann & Co’ from ‘Werdohl’ dated ’1943′. The canteen comes with a bakelite lid with makers mark?  and metal cup. The fragile leather strap has sadly parted  *Hence price*
