The German Air Sports Formation incorporated all German civilian aero clubs in March 1933, under the aegis of its newly appointed head, Bruno Loerzer. Its original role was to attract “air minded” Germans into the NSDAP and to emphasise the importance of modern aviation.

A super looking flyers dagger, this is an early one with all nickel fittings and the blue Moroccan leather on the scabbard is flawless. Blade is by Eickhorn, and does show some age “blemishes” but the fittings are bright and clear, and the centre swastika is free from chips. Comes with the original hanging strap
