I am inclined to say Orange for Ordnance – rather than – Orange/Red for Military Police. But it makes no difference as pipped AK Caps are rare to find. There was a “stash” of non Soutache caps found about 10 years ago, and as far as I’m aware no Soutache caps were ever found in quantity. This is a very nice example of a true Africa cap.

The Adler has the correct, and nice to see, blind stitch running along the top. Cap is in exceptionally fine condition and the interior of the cap is fully lined in light weight red cotton. The lining is well marked with a black size ink stamp, “56″, which appears to be scrubbed out and a 54 stamp is nearby. and is nicely maker marked for Clements Wagner.
