A very nice example of an M40 DD politzei helmet by Quist. The shell is size 64 and the finish is a medium-textured feldgrau factory finish.

Both decals are factory applied; the police is a bordered variant with around 90% retention, the party shield is approx 80% intact.

The liner is a size 57 and the leather remains supple, complete with all leather tongues and original drawstring. There are 2 clear initials penned in the liner interior.

The maker mark and lot number are both stamped to the rear of the skirt, demonstrating the helmet is a late-war production. To complete this lovely helmet there is an RB numbered chinstrap, identified as a later war strap by G.Singer- Klattu
