A simply stunning Shuma Police side cap, typical SS cut, Hand sewn Shuma police badge to the front end, Size approximately  57 some stamps inside, date 1943 wool construction, and quite eerie. These were sadly – the very bad boys The “Schuma” was subordinate to the SD and consisted exclusively of Baltic volunteers. Their duties included general Policing of the Occupied Areas;

They were also involved in a number of “other” duties that were often controversial, They included Luftschutz Activities; Anti-Partisan Fighting; Staffing of K.Lagers in Occupied Areas; Guarding POW’s; Extermination of Jews & Other Groups; Labour Groups; Front line fighting against the Russians;
