A fantastic looking dagger with  qualities of an RZM piece.

The fittings are all nickel plated over steel or aluminium They are in unusually great condition and show a small amount of surface ‘pebbling’ / lifting . Superb black ebony grip with a perfect alloy  eagle and perfect enamel SS button. The scabbard has all its original black factory paint with age spidering. The blade is beautiful and in virtually mint condition. All original crossgrain polish is visible and the Meine Ehre Heist Treue motto is deeply etched into the surface and has ALL of the background greying!! The reverse ricasso is etched with an Eickhorn squirrel, above which is the RZM circle and 941/38/SS. Made in 1938 so quite an early traditional piece with correct markings. The black 3 piece hanger complements the dagger perfectly, with the hanger being marked D.R.G.M - Deutsches Reichs Gebrauchs Muster- –  with an “A” for Assmann, the button on the 3 piece works perfectly. A very nice and totally original early transitional piece that would complement any collection.
