A An extensive set of documents including a super filled out WP for Martin Nebel who was an Oberschirrmeister – a master mechanic, and grade one driving instructor
Documents include Promotion document for 1938 promotion document for 1940 – 1st October award document 13th March Award document – 4 year long service award Experts driving licence Driving instructors licence and Wehrpass
The WP shows a marksman award for 1934/35 there’s a Driver’s award in Bronze in March of ’44, as well as the date of his daughter’s birth (also Mar ’44). The last unit entered is Stab/Panzer Armee Nachschub Rgt 4, in early/mid ’42. And his battle calendar shows him in Russia during some major battles including the Battle for Moscow 5th Dec 41 until 18th April 42 Stalingrad 17.8.42 – 18.11.42 right through until Mar ’43 – at Charkow 16 Pioneer . I believe he stayed with that unit for the duration of the war
.Page 21shows he was a Schirrmeister; somebody more or less responsible for bringing vehicles into service., there’s a number of licenses listed there. The last 2 lines of that particular block state “To be used primarily as: Schirrer”, and the last line says “As a backup, to be used as: ” with no entry.
The bottom block on 21 is his shooting award. He was awarded a pre-war shooting award, Service Award IV Class, Sudetenland Medal, Ost Medal and War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords
This is a super set to research – I’ve done as much as I can – but there is so much more to research. Some pages of the Wehrpass are loose – but not torn The book is not a replacement book as so often happens
