A simply stunning and mint condition example of the Luftwaffe 4 pocket tunic for a Lieutenant.
1935 pattern, Luftwaffe blue/grey wool/rayon blend construction tunic features a vertical, four button, front closure with small fold back lapels and a lay down collar.- The jacket is all original and untouched and is complete with all of its period applied insignia. Bullion eagle across the right breast, yellow collar tabs with bullion gulls and matching shoulder boards which are sewn in. Also piped in yellow denoting service within flight or Fallschirmjäger. Turned up cuffs and an array of award loops to the left side – medal loop to the top. EK1 wound badge and a space to the left for either a pilots badge/observer, or para badge – The interior of the tunic is fully lined in ribbed, light brown/grey cotton twill and has a horizontal slash pocket to the left breast panel and a horizontal slash for the dagger/sword hanger. There are some clear stamps to the inside. The sizing stamp with KIAMER underneath and a unit stamp for 2nd Company Flight Command and a date of 1936. The tunic is of a good size and fits easily to a standard sized mannequin.
