95mm tall, 82mm wide. machine woven green rayon base featuring a machine woven laurel wreath encompassing an elongated swastika and script: “Treue Tapfer Gehorsam”, (Faithful, Valiant, Obedience) all in orange rayon threads. This colouration denotes “Rural Police” and is in excellent, unissued condition.

The “Schuma” was subordinate to the SD and consisted exclusively of Baltic volunteers.Their duties included general Policing of the Occupied Areas. They were also involved in a number of “other” duties that were often controversial, they included: Luftschutz Activities, Anti-Partisan Fighting, Staffing of K.Lagers in Occupied Areas, Guarding POW’s, Extermination of Jews & Other Groups, Labour Groups, Front line fighting against the Russians.
