Product Information
This is a fantastic opportunity to own a character helmet straight out of the woodwork – It’s only ever been in one collection It is not one of those helmets that has been pushed around from pillar to post.
A former “Apple Green” Double decal Army issued combat helmet that has been heavily brush painted over in a dark green colour. Neither decal was removed, as the paint – over time – has cracked to reveal red and white cracks on the tri colour, and silver content on the Eagle. The helmet has the early aluminium liner with all rivets being tight to the shell, and plenty of dust and grim in-between the liner & shell. The side is stamped SE 64 for Sächsische emailler und stanzwerke A.G. / Lauter, and a Lot number of 3961. The interior shows storage features and the leather is supple being a size 57. There is some writing to the inside of the liner – but I can’t make out what it says as it is where the head would be, so it has been rubbed. The chinstrap is an early one being an alloy buckle and is faintly marked. This is a wonderful helmet and your chance to own a pure gem
