There seems to be an influx from Eastern Europe and the Far East of fake enamel signs. It is very difficult to prove that what you have is the “real thing” However this one is credited to the Phillippe Gillian collection. This I might add was purchased long before his collection was stolen last year!

The actual sign is featured on page 96  in “Wall Plaques and Official Office Signboards of Hitler’s Third Reich By Wilhelm Saris & Phillippe Gillian

It measures approximately  20 inches across and 14 inches in height. It is not mint, it is a nicely worn and hung example with the wording

This was an official office wall plaque for the State Welfare Association and was located near Nuerode in Silezia and is today Drogoslaw Poland……..
