This nickel silver Postshutz buckle is a textbook example of a rare and very desirable buckle that is missing from most collections. This is a top quality, early piece, that was used by postal protection personnel. This was not a large organization, and relatively few of these buckles were ever produced.
This extremely rare Aluminium Postshutz buckle is marked RS&S for Richard Sieper & Söhne.
Pebbled aluminium buckle with lovely sharp crisp detail original paint on the reverse. The buckle has a beautiful light brown leather tab with the maker Richard Sieper & Söhne.Ludenscheid and the date of 1936. The leather tab is also stamped with DRP for “Deutsche Reichspost” AND Mstr for the town of Munster. An extremely hard buckle to obtain on its own, especially with a town stamp BUT – it gets better. It comes with its original leather belt in fantastic condition, with no tears holes rips or additional holes BUT the belt is also stamped DRP and Dssd for the town of Düsseldorf! These Post buckles are difficult to get, and are considered to be the rarest buckle on offer
