A super condition large size (59) M42 with about 98% decal. Painted in factory “Feldgrau” a few marks to te top of the helmet, but overall a very pleasing look. Stamped on the rear skirk with Clk manufacture, and 31?7 lot number.

The decal has a good “silver” finish, and has not tarnished with age, with a couple of scratches upper left and a small one upper right. All the pins are tight and firm and display the same finish as the helmet. The late war pig skin liner is very supple and free from defects – just a few worn bits around the edges. Size 59!  It has an original drawstring fitted and comes complete with an original chin strap that is dated 44.

Once in abundance decent helmets that have been unmolested rarely appear on the market today. It is one of the few items of TR that keeps increasing in value. This item is a sound investment and will look fantastic in another collection – I’ve had it for several years – time to move it on
