Here’s an opportunity to purchase an original un-messed with “tailored” Der Spiess tunic.

I believe that this has been a standard combat tunic – period tailor altered as a “walking out” tunic. It is a small size, and in lovely condition with no moth nips tears or tracks. Devoid of any shoulder straps, as this is how it came, with generic collar patches and NCO tress applied with great care. Both sleeves have the 2 lines of tress denoting the wearer to be an aspiring officer. The breast eagle has been expertly hand stitched and the collar has been changed to the more aesthetically pleasing “pointed collar” This was favoured by troops proud to wear the uniform.

There appears to be a repair to the right hand sleeve about midway up. This could be where a badge has been removed and repaired in the past, possibly a Standard bearers patch? – albeit expertly – The inside lining has been tailored with parts of the lining cut out, so there are no depot stamps or size markings – the bandage pocket has also been removed. The tunic is priced accordingly – I could have added a set of shoulder straps and a badge to the right hand side, but I feel it would benefit the new owner to be able to choose what they want.

All in all, a really nice tailored tunic, which is priced VERY fairly in today’s market. Drop us an E mail if you require additional photos
