One of the best makers during the period is this superb mint  EREL  Luftwaffe officers cap in a lovely blue/grey rayon – wool mix. Absolutely faultless, and yet judging by the colour and sweat stains around the inside, this cap has definitely been worn, and not sat on a stores shelf. The size is approximately a 55 and the yellow silk lining still has a vibrant colour to it. The celluloid diamond in intact and the name “Erel” can be seen impressed onto the leather sweatband. The insignia is “factory sewn” and the cap has a fantastic shape to it. This is one of the best Luftwaffe officer’s caps I have ever seen, although these are not a rare cap, finding one in this condition and by a prestigious maker is difficult to say the least.
