    A Nice clear post war signature of a famed fighter!

    Johannsen (1921-2009) was the radio operator of top night-fighter Ace Martin Becker of NJG6. His awards include the German Cross in Gold, Honour Goblet and the Knights Cross, in recognition of 59 night victories out of the 68 he participated in.

    He is also named in 1945 Wehrmachtbericht (armed forces report), this reads as follows: “Captain Becker and Lieutenant Johannsen brought down 9 four-engine bombers on the 15^th of March. When Captain Becker could not continue to shoot due to a gun jam, Lieutenant Johannsen, destroyed 3 more Anglo-American bombers.”   

    A radio operator in the Luftwaffe, he flew in the Me110 with NJG4 and NJG6 during World War Two. He flew with night-fighter Ace Martin Becker for 59 air victories
