It isn’t often that these items come onto the market, they are either in long time collections (like this one) or are for sale at ridiculous prices. I was fortunate to buy a collection in France, that hasn’t seen the light of day for many years.
The trumpet is regulation length (750mm) and is tuned to E flat. There are no markings on the trumpet itself save ”Hopf” ?? which looks as if it has been engraved, possibly a name? but not a markers name. It is in great condition with only a few dings and minor dents, as one would expect to be honest.. The mouthpiece is not marked, The trumpet plays well!.
The banner is a period, possibly a late (39-40) one, and has no rips or tears or major stains. There are a couple of stains, but NO holes. All 4 ties are present, and the banner is double sided with white cotton fringe edging the fabric. The Red/White cord is a modern addition, as I was bored one night, and decided it would look good. They did have the twisted cord fitted, it’s just this one is not period.
