Deutsche Volksgemeinschaft member pin made by W. Redo, Saarlautern. These pins were worn by members of the “German Community” in the Saar region of France…

Made of a die struck, alloy base and contains multi-coloured enamel work. The pin depicts a red pebbled swastika on a white backing that is encircled by: “D.V.G. Westmark (Lothr.)” on a solid black backing. Gold coloured edging, where most that are found are silvered colour. This is a rare design of this badge and is 100% of the period. 24mm in size

The reverse shows a soldered working pin, to the back. The back is also marked “W. Redo Saarlautern”. The enamel work is 100%. It measures approximately 1 inch in diameter.
