Female Kriegsmarine grouping, comprising of an Overseas cap with the seldom seen and extremely rare anchor pin attached to the side of the cap, plus an armband intended for female navy signal staff.
The set comprises a rare armband which is in blue-coloured linen and shows the wording: ‘Marinehelferin’ in golden-yellow. It measures approximately 26 cms. in length.
The Cap is in dark blue wool, and the side is bordered with yellow piping. The KM eagle at the front has been hand sewn on. The cap does not suffer any mothing or damage, and is nicely marked inside with an RB number size 55 and a date of 1944.
The lapel-pin or ‘Dienstbrosche’ is pinned to the side of the cap, which is in moulded zinc and still retains most of its dark-blue coloured paint. It is void of a maker’s-mark and depicts an anchor on a bluish background. These badges were worn by administrative staff as well as signals.
The pin is also listed in the Heering-Hüsken Abzeichen catalogue, with the number (9504C) and an estimated value of 250 Eu!!
A very nice and rare female navy grouping that is priced according to its rarity!
