Stunning example of a single decal Luftwaffe M40 combat helmet in near perfect condition. The shell retains all of its original factory finish and the original decal has a good tone to it with only a minor scuff on one of the wings. The rivets are tight to the shell, with no signs of “fiddling” and the leather retains a lovely dark brown colour. All of the fingers are present with no splits or tears, and it has an original drawstring attached. The shell is marked /se 62 for  for Sachsische Emaillerwerk, Lauter. Lot Nr clear on the rear skirt. An original chinstrap completes this lovely ensemble One of the few items that are increasing drastically in price, and will only be an investment as good solid original un-messed with examples are becoming quite scarce.
