A superior example of a solid M40 single decal Army Helmet. Heavy gauged steel by Quist who were renowned for quality. It has a super golden toned eagle with only a corner that has flaked off- and retains all of the original factory finish. A worn example stamped Q65 and a TN lot number to the rear skirt and with a lovely toned leather liner sized at 57 – with an original drawstring fitted – all pins are tight to the shell and have never been disturbed – This ensemble is completed with a nice period black leather chinstrap, which is stamped with an RBF number – RBF marked leather items are much rarer than RBN.
