A lovely 2^nd pattern Luftwaffe Dagger by WKC of Solingen. All WKC matching parts. The blade on this one is exceptional The knight’s head “WKC Solingen” maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed. The cross grain is easily visible The blade rates near mint. It shows very minor runner  marks. The original leather buffer pad remains intact. The scabbard is steel based with an airplane grey finish. The scabbard depicts great  details throughout, with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. It remains completely dent free The Luftwaffe eagle cross guard has good detail to its head, feathers, wings and top side embossed oak leaves and acorns. The pommel and steel ferrule look good as well with those proud oak leaves and acorns. The celluloid over plaster white grip looks nicely age toned. There is a nice “aged” knot tied to the grip, and the aluminium wire wrap is tightly secured. A beautiful set of “de-lux” hangers adorn the side rings. These hangers look absolutely fantastic with no fraying or splits with the clip being marked with DGRM and an “A” in a circle – indicating manufacture by Assmann & co. This would be a welcome addition to any collection
