This is an exceptional Afrika set, with the buckle retaining almost all of the original green factory paint. Leather tab is marked for Richard Sieper & Sohne and dated 1940. The buckle is not marked but shows the typical RS&S catch keeper. The belt does have a marking for the maker on it, but is very faint and faded. Size is approx. 90cm and is in exceptional condition, this set would be hard to upgrade from.

This is an Afrika set and not a tropical set. The early Afrika sets comprised of leather tabbed buckles, and smooth webbing belts. The later Army sets had webbing tabbed buckles and a more coarse fabric for the belts
