This example is a very early dagger by “ASSO” with only Ges.Gesch showing below. 

Being a very early example, it does not have the later “Ricasso” which makes this even more desirable

The blade inscription with the HJ motto, “Blut und Ehre!”, Blood and Honour is stunning, with the deep black etch fully visible and only very light runners marks – PLUS – it has never been sharpened

The scabbard paintwork is near perfect, and the leather fasteners are intact and working. There is some small plate loss on the handle, but to be honest, if it didn’t have I would be suspect of it.

An early Dagger without the Ricasso, Mint blade – Rare maker- Deep etch – not sharpened- and a perfect fit into the scabbard. Does it get any better? I doubt it. An eye watering price – but a truly eye watering and amazing piece of history!!
