A very well presented Single Decal re-issue M35 combat helmet. The helmet appears to have retained It’s distinct early colour  of “Apple Green”. It is in fantastic condition with one single Army decal that is almost grey/silver in colour, almost 100% present.

It retains the early strap with the aluminium buckle and has the re-issue re-enforced liner that is dated 1942. The pins on this one are rock solid, and it was difficult to gently prise back the band to see. It is sadly a small sized helmet – one of the reasons I suspect that it shows virtually no wear. Does size matter? Not unless you’re going to wear it – which I very much doubt

 The skirt is marked ET 60 for Eisenhüttenwerke, Thale  A lot number of 3521, and a liner of size 53. Interestingly the inside of the helmet on the dome shows a stamp of 53 also. 

One of the few items to have increased in value over the years are top shelf combat helmets – There are plenty of cheaper ones around, and plenty of messed about with helmets – but I have always tried to be careful where I source them from, and this is another that has not been fiddled with.

In case you wonder where they are coming from – I’ve always collected helmets and still have “A few” that I will let go.
