A superb cross with all of it’s original frosting ring stamped 65 for Klein & Quenzer – together with the original blue paper issue packet marked Klein & Quenzer, and a length of unworn ribbon


However – what is really nice is there are 2 pieces of paper that came with this lot. One is a promotion document and the other I cannot read, but I’m sure it would be very interesting to find out The Field post number is:
57368- This is for a heavy artillery battery that at the time of the documents being written (August 1944) The Regts were fighting in Russia – but I could be wrong An interesting research piece – that could turn up something extraordinary

On July 27, 1940 the Artillerie-Batterie 810 (35,5 cm Mörser M1) was assigned to the schw. Art.Abt. 641 as its 1. Battery. The artillery group was composed of two batteries equipped with the 30,5 cm Mörser and one battery with the 35.5 cm Mörser M1.
