Extremely rare and not often encountered – 1^st Pattern Green coloured Luftwaffe Afrika Pith helmet , in pristine condition.

This example has both of the metal insignias present. The Rare right facing eagle – only seen on these helmets has all three prongs present and displays a fantastic patina, as does the tri colour on the other side. Complete with a brown chinstrap and original dust goggles, this has to be one of the most desirable sun hats that a collector wants. The blue ones were in service for about 3 months – the green ones for about 6 months, and then they went over to the “beige” colour. A very desirable true “Afrika” hat – not tropical!

The size is about 57/58 and the interior is pristine and devoid of any makers markings.
