These medallions commemorate a contest performed at the annual rally of the NSDAP party held in Nürnberg from 1923 to 1939 known as the “Nürnberg Rallies”,

They were large propaganda events held at the huge stadium in the outskirts of the city;

The reverse of medallion marked “N.S. Kampfspiele 1938 Zweiter Platz”- for second place.This is the same design as found on the day badges for that year

The medallion measures a respectable 95cm and the box is 135cm x 130cm so it is a really good display size

Very good condition with some minor coating losses due of age, complete with period original box.
