A once in a lifetime chance to own a truly ultra rare and documented Hitler Youth Marine signals recruiting poster.
As most….. if not all collectors will be aware……. HJ Marine items are the rarest items to find.
This poster which measures 58cm x 41cm is featured not only as the front cover illustration on volume 2 “Youth led by Youth” by Philip Baker, but also, written in depth on pages 12 & 13.
This actual poster was liberated at the end of the war by a British soldier, and before folding it up and putting it in his kit bag, he wrote on the back, in pen a rough translation and….. ” note, the blond hair, nearly all Nazi posters show people with blond or flaxen hair”
These items rarely come onto the open market, as most, if not all, are bought within the collector circles, without dealers every getting a sniff. However I have been after this particular item for over 2 years. It wasn’t cheap to buy, so don’t think I’m making a fortune on the price. It is priced accordingly, and I don’t mind keeping it. The frame is NOT part of the sale, it will be shipped rolled up safely in a tube and posted
