Extremely rare award document for Hitler Youth Victors Badge in the National Trade Competition – Gausieger – 1944. The last time this “competition” was run. Not as elaborate, or as ornate as the 1938 or the 1939 certificates, but in terms of rarity this rates 10 out of 10. Awarded to Erika Feldman, this is the top prize being for the Gausieger badge. The first National Trade competition of the German Youth (Reichsberufswettkampf der Deutschen Jugend) was instituted in February 1934.The purpose of the joint sponsorship, agreed apon by Reichsjungendführer Baldur von Schirach, the German Labour Front (DAF) leader, Dr. Robert Ley, and the added collaboration of the National Socialist German Students’ League, was to stimulate skill levels in manual, technical and artistic endeavours. The first competition was held in Berlin on the 1st May 1934 – the last in 1944
